Spark Orthodontics has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant

Our busy practice is seeking a friendly, outgoing, and a detail oriented individual with the desire to provide excellent service to our patients. Pay: $16-$18/hour

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:15 am-5:30 pm 

Location: 2951 Saint Lawrence Avenue Reading, Pennsylvania 19606 United States 

• Responsible for new patients’ smooth transition into the practice as well as handling communication with general dentists and specialists.
• Promotes the practice by building relationships with patients, responsible parties, general dentists and specialists.
• Communicate with dentists, specialists, referral sources and their staff regarding patient compliance, evaluations, extractions, restorative work and surgery.
• Calculate, monitor both office and personal statistics.
• Monitor pre-treatment recall system (patient observation).
• Review new patient paperwork. Prepare appropriate records (X-rays, siblings’ charts, miscellaneous records, etc).
• Responsible for the timely, daily accurate tracking of pertinent patient data (including, but not limited to, Pre-Auth/Pre-D submissions, carrier decisions, patient statuses, starts and scheduled starts, etc.). All data needs to be reported and up to date by end of day on Friday.
• Regularly follow-up with insurance carriers regarding outstanding claims, pre-authorizations, and pre-determinations
• Greet new patients; provide practice tours and orient them to practice.
• Work with Doctor in diagnosing, preparing treatment plans and present said plans, financial quotes to the patient. Chart examination findings on behalf of Doctor.
• Guide patients through financial arrangements and prepare appropriate agreements.
• Make weekly outbound calls to patients to confirm appointments.
• Work with clinical team in accommodating patient requests for record or braces same-day appointments.
• Assist clinical team as needed by cleaning chairs, sterilization, patient seating, initiating record or braces appointments, etc.
