Responsibilities:
New York Tech’s School of Architecture and Design seeks a full time temporary Administrative Assistant located at our New York City campus. Reporting to the Dean’s Office and the Chair of Lectures & Events, the Administrative Assistant will support the academic office team for the School of Architecture & Design, including in the coordination of events and activities. This is a Monday-to-Friday, 9am to 5pm in- person role.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with coordinating events and activities, including but not limited to scheduling rooms and venues, processing documents, and ordering catering/event services and supplies.
- Handle correspondence including mail, emails and phone calls
- Act as a liaison between the school and vendors as well as other event partners.
- Provide office coverage.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 1-2 years’ experience preferred working in a college setting and/or a busy office environment. Experience in events is a plus.
Available to work from January 2, 2024 to March 31, 2024 in person at the programs’ Old Westbury office, Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm. - Excellent organization, communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a busy environment.
- Computer-savvy in the Windows 10/11 environment and comfortable with office technology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and experience with using platforms such as Google Docs, OneDrive, Dropbox and Zoom are highly desired.
- Candidate must be detailed-oriented and able to work on multiple projects at one time.
- Strong work ethic and proactive, with the ability to work cooperatively in a team while also being self-motivated and requiring minimal supervision.
- May on rare occasions be asked to visit the NYC campus (travel cost reimbursed).

Minimum Salary:USD $25.00/Hr.Maximum Salary:USD $30.00/Hr.
