We currently have an excellent full-time opportunity for an experienced, Administrative Assistant who can multi-task in a high-volume medical office, as well as:

• Maintain calendar, making appointments arrange meetings.
• Assemble patient charts, keeps charts up to date
• Schedule surgical procedures confirms schedule with physician, hospital, patients.
• Complete all forms and forwards them to insurance companies, Medicare and/or other appropriate parties; arranges for insurance pre-certification where required.
• Arranges for post-operative, post-discharge follow up with physician.
• Registration/ Check-out, auth’s, coordination of appointments, scanning of medical documents, verify insurance/referral

We require:

• High School graduation orequivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of healthcare executive/secretarial experience is essential
• Knowledge of EMR Systems
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• MS Office proficiency essential
• Medical Terminology is a must
• Shorthand, fast longhand or ability to transcribe from Dictaphone
• Good interpersonal and English verbal/written communication skills
