**J** **O** **B** **S** **U** **MM** **ARY** :
Administrative Assistant IV to the Director of the Center for Community Health & Prevention. With excellent oral communication skills, writing, time management and organizational abilities, demonstrates proactive problem solving and conveys a professional and enthusiastic attitude in a culturally diverse environment. Possesses demonstrated customer service experience that incorporates a University perspective along with a commitment to issues of diversity and the ability to work in a team setting with all levels of management, faculty, staff and the general public.
**S** **P** **E** **C** **I** **F** **I** **C R** **E** **S** **PO** **NS** **IBILITIES:**
+ Provides administrative support to the Director of the Center for Community Health & Prevention.
+ Coordinates calendar and travel arrangements for the Director. Books flights, hotels, conference registrations and processes travel related expenses and reimbursements, including local mileage. Handles parking permit requests.
+ Coordinates extramural projects or grants overseen by the Director. Gathers pertinent information for the preparation of award and grant submissions according to specific sponsor guidelines. Develops administrative reports. Designs and prepares presentations. Responsible for the security of confidential information and files. Supports additional administrative needs of the Director as needed.
+ Supports the Center’s daily operations as part of the administrative team, greeting visitors on-site, answering phone calls and fielding general inquiries. Communicates effectively and routinely with faculty and staff. Facilitates and participates in staff meetings as an integral member of the collaborative team, making recommendations and assisting in implementing and evaluating those recommendations.
+ Responsible for Director’s curriculum vitae and NIH biosketch. Monitors pending publications and makes necessary updates in online databases. Maintains Director’s memberships at academic associations.
Other projects and job duties as assigned.
**REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Associate’s degree required.
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ Two years of relevant administrative support experience in an academic/medical setting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
+ Five years of relevant administrative support experience preferred.
+ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to work independently required.
+ The ability to interact effectively with high-level University officers, as well as with students, faculty, staff and general public is needed required.
+ Must possess exceptional judgment, as well as discretion and professionalism required.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel, is required required.
+ Experience working with University Human Resource functions is preferred.

**Pay Range**
Pay Range: $18.27 - $33.65 Hourly
_The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._
