Responsibilities
**General Purpose:**
This position is to join a dynamic and very busy research clinic with multiple contracts with the NIH and pharmaceutical companies. Studies currently being conducted include observational studies of respiratory illnesses such as influenza and COVID19, phase 1-3 vaccine studies, studies in therapeutic agents in both adult and pediatric populations. The applicant can expect to serve as the business manager for the principle investigators of the clinic (s) and would supervise, coordinate and/or monitor the work activity of employees, develop goals and objectives and be responsible forannual operating budgets for the office. The manager would maintain a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a respectful and professional manner with subjects, coworkers and investigators. Occasional evening and weekend work is possible. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Under general direction and with latitude for independent judgment. The Practice Manager will perform duties requiring highly advanced administrative skills and proficiency. They
will also be responsible for considerable administrative details and office management duties as described further below.
**Responsibilities:**
Attends weekly meetings within the IDRC. Attends in-service and other mandatory training sessions. Implements procedures for enhancing levels of service and quality, demonstrates skills in resolving difficult subject complaints and concerns. Implements and enforces medical office policies
and procedures, develops guidelines for prioritizing and assigning work activities, evaluating effectiveness and modifying process as necessary.
Establishes and maintains efficient and responsive patient flow system, schedules and attends regular office meetings with providers and office staff and prepares weekly schedule for staff, in coordination with the senior clinical coordinator, to ensure proper staffing to support daily office operations.
Responsible for orientation, training, development, evaluation and management of administrative staff, assists with management of clinical staff
in collaboration with clinical coordinators and principle investigators.

Oversees performance of billing operation procedures, request for subject payments, and effectively manages within budgeted parameters. Oversees expenses for clinic supplies and other types of orders in a timely and accurate manner and from approved vendor lists. Functions as petty cash custodian, adhering to UR Audit and
Finance principles and regulations.
Oversees completion and submission of operational performance reports, in collaboration with investigators and clinical coordinators pertaining to
compliance with quality assurance, documentation, and reporting for research studies and ensures compliance with Good Clinical Practice standards.
Acts as liaison with facilities manage and address issues with property/facility. Routine written and phone communication with study subjects, and staff.
Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
+ College graduation or an equivalent combination of experience and training. 1-year of relevant administrative experience.
+ Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.

+ Excellent organizational and communication skills are required. Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality is imperative. Expertise using computer assisted office programs is essential. Ability to think creatively and work autonomously is a plus.
+ Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially use of Excel (preferred).

**Pay Range**
Pay Range: $18.27 - $33.65 Hourly
_The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._
