Administrative Assistant - Records - The Guidance Center - Leavenworth, KS

The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team.  TGC is a Community Mental Health Center serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas.  We invite all qualified individuals interested in the potential to positively impact in the lives of children, adolescents, and their families to apply.  

Administrative Assistant Pay and Benefits:

• Hourly pay rate of $18.31 to $20.71; based on previous relevant experience

Primary Duties for Administrative Assistant:

• Perform all tasks related to opening and closing the office,
• Handle a multi-line phone system, routing messages and calls
• Obtain and enter into the Electronic Medical Record system all necessary registration information for clients, update when necessary
• Manage client files (setting up new charts, maintaining active charts, processing closed charts, and all other electronic file-related activities)
• Accurately maintain therapists’ and doctors’ schedules
• Request, receive and record fee payments from clients

Administrative Assistant Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

High school education required; some college education preferred

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of one year experience in working with the public in customer service position in a medical office setting is required.
