Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Primary production-based support person for engineers/investigators for varying forensic engineering casework
- Support engineers through records research (property records and/or Google images)
- Upload and properly filing and storing site photos
- Responsible for document proofreading (primarily engineering reports) and letter composition to internal and external clients
- Spreadsheet creation, data entry and manipulation
- Handles meeting and lab exam scheduling
- Provide support for performing conflict checks, including compiling, accuracy verification, and sorting of information for computer entry, and research/request further information
- Calendar and track engineers' schedules of site inspections, depositions and changes to trial schedules
- Process site photos
- Handles verbal and written client communications
- Maintains electronic and physical office files and databases
- Assist in annual file archival/purging process
- Direct/usher guests, clients to the warehouse/lab as needed
- Interact with office maintenance workers. Direct/usher them to the warehouse/lab as needed
- Assist with office maintenance operations (stocking/tidying, technical issues, etc.)
- Assist with managing incoming phone calls
- Regular and predictable physical presence in the office
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or commensurate experience
- Paralegal/Legal Assistant or production/operations role experience a plus
- Advanced level of proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel; PowerPoint) and Outlook
- Proficiency in Salesforce software preferred
- A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience
- Must be comfortable with working in an office setting that is open to the public
- Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, time management and critical thinking skills
- Must have strong simul-tasking skills across multiple platforms
- Excellent reading, writing, and proofreading skills
- Very detail oriented
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to answer phones
- Ability to maneuver around the office
- Ability to carry/lift 50 lbs
- Ability to file and carry folders
- Ability to bend and/or bend and lift
- Ability to use a computer/keyboard and hold a telephone receiver while talking and taking notes
