Hale Makua Health Services is a Maui based non-profit that improves the well-being of those in its care through compassionate personalized health services. We are devoted to helping Maui's Elders live their best lives. Hale Makua's Kahului location is a 254-bed nursing facility.
The Position:
We're looking for passionate Administrative Assistant / Patient Account Representative to serve as the liaison between our guests and their families and the business services department. Additional duties include:
- Meets with guests and families upon admission and at discharge to discuss insurance coverages and financial arrangements.
- Processes payments received.
- Help support the overall efficiency and functionality of the billing department
- Complete insurance verifications (training will be provided).
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- One (1) year of experience in healthcare, administrative assistant, or related field.
- Associate Degree or a combination of education and experience in healthcare related field preferred.
