Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
AND
Experience:
- Previous administrative experience preferred

Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant is charged with creating and executing schedules, on behalf of the Cancer Program, communicating with staff or key stakeholders who need assistance, keeping organized records related to outreach events, cancer registry operations, and department coordination. The administrative coordinator is the backup to the department Executive Assistant, when they are out of the office, and is expected to support the program.
Essential Functions
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
- Managing and routing phone calls appropriately.
- Scheduling in-house and external meetings as needed.
- Distributing incoming mail.
- Managing and ordering office supplies.
- Manage shared calendars.
- Addressing employees’ and clients’ queries (via email, phone, or in-person).
- Preparing miscellaneous Agendas, presentations, spreadsheets, and reports.
- Updating office processes and procedures as needed.
- Assist with outreach activities, screening events.
- Assist with tumor boards.
