Administrative Assistant, Nursing - Opengate Inc.

Overview

We are looking for an organized and dedicated Administrative Assistant to coordinate medical appointments for around 100 residents on campus and in community houses. This role involves providing essential administrative and clerical support to our Health Services and Day Program Departments. You will also engage closely with the family members of those we serve, fostering strong relationships and enhancing community well-being. Responsibilities

• Schedule medical appointments and follow up visits for people served on campus and in the community as required.
• Screen and re-direct incoming telephone calls received in the department.
• Maintain medical appointments and other pertinent information in Electronic Health Record.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean work environment, reporting health and safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Provide administrative coverage and support for the Administrative Assistant assigned to the Residential Operations Program as needed.
• Obtain consultant, radiology, laboratory, and other reports when needed.
• Coordinate with nursing and staff regarding medical appointment requirements and transportation.
• Act as a key point of contact for the family members of our residents regarding appointments.
• Serves as a point of contact for the family members of people served by the agency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required
• One year of experience in an administrative assistant capacity.
• Proficient with Microsoft office
• Proficient keyboard skills, excellent written and verbal skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
• The position necessitates multi-tasking and flexibility to meet changing priorities and urgent events.
• Requires confidentiality of sensitive information and discretion in handling all matters.

Salary - $17.88 - $20.60/hour based on experience.
