GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Administrate Assistant is responsible for assisting the Director or Manager in the efficient performance of his or her responsibilities. In addition, performs a broad range of administrative and secretarial duties to assist and support Director's or Manager's specified areas, which requires thorough knowledge of company policy, organization, personnel and services. The Administrative Assistant is able to perform all essential functions with minimal supervision or assistance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- The caregiver must be sufficiently fluent in the English language to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.

- For direct patient care roles: Performs and maintains currency of essential competencies as required by specific area of hire and populations served.
- Accurately plans, prioritizes and coordinates the Director's or Manager's daily calendar, meetings, and travel arrangements to ensure effective utilization of time.
- Prepares routine reports, records, informal & formal presentations, meeting minutes, memorandums, and department correspondence.
- Ensures that the areas supported operates efficiently by coordinating mail distribution, phone support, handling minor maintenance requirements, office supplies, communication and telecommunication/information system needs.
- May work with the management team to maintain staff time and attendance records. While monitoring sick time, perdiem hours, and in-service attendance.
- Generates productivity reports and other requested staff utilization reports ina timely manner.
- Assists with maintenance of policies and procedures/reference manuals, bulletin boards, other files and departmental logs required by governmental agencies and other hospital departments (Quality, Infection Control, Human Resources, Risk Management, Performance Improvement, etc.).
- Coordinate, organize and support subcommittees (Value Analysis and Department Utilization) and other meetings as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates Degree Preferred
EXPERIENCE
- 3 years of experience in a similar function preferred
