Statement of Purpose
The Administrative Assistant provides executive level assistance and support to the Executive VP & Chief Medical Officer and the VP Medical Group Operations. This position serves as a confidential liaison between the Medical Group Office, VP's office and other senior leaders, medical staff, department managers, employees, business and community leaders, as well as a broad range of other internal and external constituents.
Job Requirements
Education/Experience
Post-secondary education/training in business/administration/management and 3 years experience preferably in an administrative assistant position, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Knowledge & Skills Required
· Excellent organizational ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks requiring a high degree of attention to detail.
· Professional written and verbal communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to maintain composure during stressful situations.
· Advanced knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office software.
· Experience with modern office practices, procedures and equipment, including file management, office automation, and telephone techniques and etiquette.
· Proficiency in typing, transcription, and dictation.
· Ability to write reports and transcribe minutes that concisely and accurately reflect the intentions of the speaker using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
· Knowledge of contemporary business writing practices including ability to proofread and select and apply standard references such as dictionaries, style manuals, templates, and procedure manuals.
· Professional demeanor and ability to exercise discretion, tact, and confidentiality.
Reports To: Chief Medical Officer, with additional support responsibilities to the VPMGO.
