ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
MANAGED CARE DEPARTMENT
Provides administrative support to Managed Care Department in the areas of correspondence, contracts distribution, filing, scheduling of meetings and items that require follow-up for the department.
AHMC provides consulting services to nine-acute care hospitals, Alhambra Hospital Medical Center with 144-licensed beds, AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center with 223 beds, Garfield Medical Center with 210 beds, Greater El Monte Community Hospital with 117 beds, Monterey Park Hospital with 101 beds, Parkview Community Hospital with 191 beds, San Gabriel Valley Medical Center with 273 beds, AHMC Seton Medical Center with 478 beds, and Whittier Hospital Medical Center with 178 beds. The facilities are Medicare and Medi-Cal certified and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
JOB DUTIES:
- Handles follow-up on projects, issues, email and phone requests as required by the Manager.
- Maintains files in a timely and accurate manner.
- Distributes completed contracts in a timely manner.
- Monthly distribution for the Manager of Financial Reporting.
- Prepares monthly calendar for meetings and deadlines regarding contract negotiations, renewals and follow-up items.
- Schedules meetings, prepares and records minutes as necessary.
- Prepares and maintains correspondence as needed.
- Completes credentialing requests from health plans as well as performs basic credentialing activities for ancillary providers.
- Abides by AHMC Code of Conduct, Policy and Procedures, and HIPAA compliance.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Associate's degree
- Bachelor degree (preferred).
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace suite
- Working knowledge in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Reader and Standard.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
