This position uses excellent organizational and administrative gifts to support the Director of Catholic Relations and national team staff and to represent the Catholic Relations office in a personal, professional, and ecumenical manner.
Essential Duties:
Spiritual Development
- Pursue a growing relationship with God in Jesus Christ.
- Participate actively in a local church community.
- Participate actively in the spiritual and relational life of the Catholic Relations office.
Written and Verbal Communication
- Compose letters, e-mails, documents, presentations, and other correspondence materials as needed.
- Proofread and edit a variety of documents.
- Articulate expectations, documents, timelines, schedules and policies to staff.
- Design flyers and slide decks as needed.
Administrative Support
- Manage calendars.
- Book flights, hotels and rental cars for national staff.
- Prepare and submit monthly expense reports for national staff.
- Manage and organize contact information in master database and YL Connect.
- Monitor and provide reports for accounting systems such as cash flow, budgets and transfers.
- Maintain and organize files, documents, pictures, and contacts for immediate retrieval.
- Submit forms for reimbursements, check requests, and other processes for Catholic Relations staff.
- Prepare presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Assist with meeting and event coordination and support.
- Maintain annual summer Catholic Adult Guest Camp reservations, invites, and communications.
- Execute daily responsibilities with attention to detail, deadlines, core values, and metrics of excellence.
- Manage with integrity the finances, people, and equipment that have been entrusted to our ministry.
- Work with the board chair on ad-hoc projects and board communications.
- Serve on the biennial summit planning team and oversee all event logistics.
- In alternative years, plan and handle logistics for the board retreat.
- Prepare monthly donor reports.
- Work with the Associate Director to prepare newsletters.
Job Specific Working Conditions:
- Regular phone calls and Zoom meetings, including weekly staff meetings, monthly board meetings, and weekly meetings with the director, associate director, and development director.
- Occasional travel.
- Collaborative team environment.
- This is a part-time position, 20 hours per week, more during peak seasons.
- $16.69 - $20.89 per hour
- Remote position
Education:
- Associates’ degree, business school or two years administrative experience required.
Training Expectations:
- Participate in events and trainings as assigned.

Other Desirable Experience for the Job
- Experience and understanding of Young Life’s culture, structure, and processes.
- Graphic design experience is a plus.
