Job Title: Administrative Assistant 2
Contract Duration: Tentative start date: Dec 6, 2024 through Jan 30, 2025 (Assignment extensions occur quarterly. The selected candidate has the potential to stay in the role for up to 18 months.)
Pay: $33.25/hr
Onsite/Remote/Hybrid (if onsite/hybrid please give city/town name): Hybrid, at least 3-4 days/onsite, Silicon Valley, CA
Must Haves: The role requires 2-5 overall years of experience in the field
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
1. Minimum 2-5 years experience with Outlook.
2. Minimum 2-5 years experience with Powerpoint.
3. Minimum 2-5 years experience with Sharepoint
Preferred:
The ideal resume would contain 1) Experience running projects end-to-end and being solution-driven. 2) Experience with both US-based and international events.3) Experience with large events and the ability to build out templates and processes 4) Demonstrated leadership qualities.
Job Description:
Performs a variety of complex administrative functions for all levels of management including external business partners. Manages schedule(s), coordinates travel arrangements and processes business expenses. Coordinates meetings and events, department financial operations, personnel operations, and facility operations. Manages procurement of goods and services including computer equipment, office supplies, reference materials, and vendor relationships. Provides general office support. Serves as the department/group contact. Completes special projects as assigned.
Typical Day in the Role:
• Purpose of the Team: This team is part of the Edge and Platform R&D team. They have started a new model with site lead admins in each of their non-Redmond hubs
• Key projects: The team is looking to hire a junior admin to support their site lead in Silicon Valley, California, due to the larger size of the location and the need for additional help with managing onsite tasks such as onboarding, offboarding, equipment, and events
• Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 50% events and meetings, 25% team support and 25% general administrative tasks and ad hoc projects.
