About the Job
This position is assigned to Combined Records and is located at Yonkers Road in Raleigh, NC. This position will be the first point of contact for the Human Resources section for Combined Record's. The employee needs knowledge of the functions of Human Resources such as LOA – Leave of Absence, FMLA-Family Medical Leave Act, Workers Comp, Disability, Retirement, Fiori time entry and reporting.
First point of contact for the Human Resources area and will assist with maintaining all employee's personnel files making sure all files are up to date. Ensures all matters of a confidential nature are not shared or revealed according to policy and procedure. Keeping utmost confidentiality while preparing, maintaining, and organizing confidential reports, files and record keeping. Back up to Human Resources Manager for all Fiori duties. Assists with interview arrangements and preparing packets. Assists with planning for interviews or meetings and securing conference rooms and coordinates personnel and equipment to arrange for requested mandatory meetings and training for the Section.
Back up to Administrative Specialist I in receiving/processing travel authorizations/reimbursement requests. Track and file monthly mileage for motor fleet management. Assist with inventory control of equipment, tracking ID or serial number of all equipment for section. Assists with yearly inventory, surplus paperwork, and logistics. Communicates with the service technicians to arrange for prompt and efficient maintenance and repair of all office equipment and maintenance and repair to state owned facilities by using telephone, fax, electronic mail. Utilize strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of the Department of Adult Correction staff. Prepare and maintain paperwork for cellular devices.

About the Department of Adult Correction (DAC)
The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is responsible for the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced after conviction for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes State Prisons, Correction Enterprises, the Division of Community Supervision, and the Division of Rehabilitation & Reentry.
