Administrative Assistant - HR and Business Office
Chatham University is welcoming applications for an Administrative Assistant.
This position provides administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Controller as well as the Executive Director of Human Resources.

Finance Duties:
- Manage routine office functions such as calendar, mail, phone, files, typing, etc.
- Coordinate and communicate with the University community on office and division projects and tasks.
- Manage, monitor and regularly report to the COO on assigned projects and tasks, including financial data, schedule, issues and concerns.
- Coordinate and maintain various contracts including clinical sites, insurance policies, rental agreements for tenants and external renters of Chatham University spaces.
- Take and transcribe board committee meetings as staffed by the Vice President.
- Serve as liaison between the University and other Woodland Road Association members and assist in maintaining Association books and records.
- Handle Concur reporting including expense reports and allocations.
Human Resources Duties:
- Welcomes visitors and provides customer service by answering employee requests and questions.
- Assists with scheduling of interviews, meetings and employee events.
- Assists or prepares correspondence as needed.
- Answer and direct departmental phone calls.
- Receives and distributes departmental mail.
- Prepares requests for payments of HR expenses.
- Maintains office supplies.
- Prepares offer letter, help with initiating and monitoring background checks, assist with sending, collecting, and completing new employee paperwork.
- Aid in job postings and external advertising.
- Complete other administrative tasks as needed.
Salary Range:
$34,600-$39,400. 35-hour work week.
