SUMMARY:Reports directly to the Director of Alternative Education. Provides administrative support to the Director of Alternative Education by performing the duties listed below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for executive-level administrative duties.
• Perform operational duties such as maintaining schedules/calendars, making travel arrangements, retrieving phone calls, emails, andvoicemail messages.
• Greeting and accommodating visitors.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work well with alllevels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
• Maintain a professional image.
• Process purchase orders and vouchers for payment.
• Perform administrative assistant duties in accordance with executive secretarial standard practices.
• Perform all administrative assistant and related duties in a conscientious, safe, and confidential manner.
• Performs extensive software skills and duties, including word processing (Microsoft Suite), creatingspreadsheets (Excel), and presentations (PowerPoint), as well as Google Suite programs (Docs, Sheets, etc.).
• Maintains filing, both electronic and standard.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation from a general or technical high school.
• Two or more years’ experience as an administrative/secretarial lead preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other related software.
• Related experience preferred.
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Exerts 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
• Exerts 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or
• Prolonged periods of working on a computer.
• Sufficient vision to read printed material, see distant objects with clarity, and identify and distinguish objects.
• Sufficient hearing to hear conversations in person and on the telephone, and hear sounds clearly up to 20 feet.
• Ability to speak in an understandable voice with sufficient volume to be heard in normal conversation and on the telephone, and in addressing groups.

Salary:Clerical Salary Range on the Administrative Assistant Salary Scale - $23.44 - $31.50/per hour
