About the Job
The College of Health, Science & Technology invites application for the full-time, non-exempt position of Administrative Assistant. This position is responsible for administrative support to the College and associated faculty, staff, and students. This position is located in River Forest, IL, and reports to the Dean of the College.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- On campus, Monday through Friday, 8.5-hour shift, i.e., 8-4:30, 9-5:30, etc.
- Maintenance, management, and tracking of the college's digital and printed filing system for Deans, Faculty, Adjuncts, and university documents
- Assistance with course scheduling processes, adjunct hiring process, faculty hiring process, faculty load process, peer review process, scheduling meetings, and coordinating college events
- Provides assistance in compilation of various reports and documents for Deans, Faculty, Adjuncts, and other stakeholders as needed
- Regular office support for Deans, Faculty, Staff as needed: answering phones and replying to emails in a timely manner, etc.
- In conjunction with the faculty, creates and assists students in creating electronic communications for our departments and student groups, HST newsletter, and website
- Participate in Online Certification Course and university training workshops
- Other related duties as assigned

Skill Sets:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
- Superior command of MS Office Suite software, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as Zoom and Blackboard
- Some experience working with Banner software is preferred, but not required
- Strong desire to learn and work with flexibility and a professional mindset
Minimum Experience Required:
- 1-2 years' work in an administrative assistant or related position
- Familiarity with/ experience in a Higher Education environment is a plus
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Associates/bachelor's degree preferred
