SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Chemical Operator for a large, well-known client in Tinley Park, Il. As a Chemical Operator, you will be an essential part of our client’s core operations, ensuring that quality product is assembled, packaged, and ready for delivery to the end customer.
The Chemical Operator is required to perform a variety of tasks including measuring, batching and quality inspection. The position entails some heavy lifting and standing on your feet the entire shift. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, make safety a priority, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! This is a temp to hire opportunity paying ($18.50/hr) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).
Available shifts include:
1st shift
Responsibilities of the Chemical Operator:
• Adhere strictly to mixing procedures and directions as specified by supervisors and on Mix Sheets.
• Operate a forklift to transport chemicals and batches to desired locations.
• Be cognizant of and follow safe handling instructions in Mix Sheets, Chemical Safety Manual and/or Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Follow thorough mixing procedures and directions for blending and processing of raw materials
• To recommend any changes to procedures and or equipment to improve quality, safety, efficiency or reduce waste
• To observe all safety rules and use all PPE equipment specified for each batch
• To assist QA department with all quality assurance requirements for batching and chemical use
• Assist with daily and weekly batching area clean-up procedures
• To conduct periodic chemical inventories
• To organize and consolidate incoming chemical shipments
• To keep chemical storage are clean

Required Qualifications of the Chemical Operator:
• At least 2 years of recent experience in blending.
• Ability to read and comprehend work orders and batching instructions.
• General math skills
• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
