QISG is seeking an Office Administrative Assistant (part-time position) interested in providing direct administrative support to office and leadership team members located within our Blacksburg, VA office.

An Office Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing varying day-to-day administrative support to QISG’s Blacksburg, VA office, its professional staff, and professional staff in other QISG offices. Typical day-to-day functions may include, but not limited to the following:

About this Role
An Office Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing varying day-to-day administrative support to QISG’s Blacksburg, VA office, its professional staff, and professional staff in other QISG offices. Typical day-to-day functions may include, but not limited to the following:
- managing office and professional calendars;
- scheduling meetings;
- handling phone calls;
- managing correspondence;
- maintaining files;
- ordering office supplies;
- assisting with the coordination and planning of company events and meetings;
- serving as backup to the Facilities Coordinator when requested;
- adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures;
- and performing other clerical tasks.
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative support role
- excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally to all levels of the organization
- proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook programs
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- sound decision making and problem-solving skills
- basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems, such as recordkeeping and filing
- ability to work both under the direction of office leadership as well as independently while supporting the needs of the team
- must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
- must be able to bend, lift, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment and office space
