As a Bilingual Administrative Assistant within the Talent & Engagement team, you will play a crucial role in fostering bilingual employee relations and ensuring compliance with administrative policies and procedures. Proficiency in Spanish is a must for effective communication and engagement.
This position demands a perceptive individual capable of connecting with individuals at all organizational levels. In addition to supporting the Talent & Engagement team, this role actively collaborates with the General Manager, Managing Director, and Owner/Operator on various administrative initiatives.
We seek an ideal candidate who possesses analytical and methodical skills, coupled with a people-oriented approach and experience in administration, bilingual communication, and compliance. Focus Areas:
1) Quick Service Restaurant Business Integration
*Be willing to learn and understand the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) business.
*Demonstrate a readiness to engage in various aspects, from serving guests to cleaning restrooms if necessary, and actively participate in unforeseen administrative or operational tasks.
*Embrace a servant leadership attitude, contributing to a positive and efficient restaurant environment.
2) Administrative Excellence
*Oversee administrative tasks, including onboarding new, current, and former employees.
*Maintain and organize personnel files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and city regulations.
*Create and manage reports to support decision-making processes.
*Collaborate with leadership on administrative initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
*Demonstrate proficiency in computer usage, Microsoft Office applications, and a fast-learning ability.
3) Attitude-Driven Employee Relations
*Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture by championing Chick-fil-A East *Fordham Road core values.
*Play a key role in employee relations, emphasizing attitude and teamwork.
*Develop and implement strategies to recognize and celebrate positive attitudes within the team.
4) Bilingual English/Spanish Talent Engagement
*Facilitate communication and engagement strategies to ensure a bilingual and inclusive work environment.
*Collaborate with the Talent & Engagement team to implement language-focused initiatives.
*Assist in language-specific onboarding, training, and development programs.
Qualifications
- At least 21 years or older
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken in English and Spanish
- Valid NYC Food Protection Course Certificate
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean Driving Record
- At least 1 year of human resources administration experience.
- At least 1 in systems and processes development
- Proficient in technology, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and adaptable to learn new software.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects up to 30 pounds; kneel, bend, or stoop; ascend or descend stairs; reach and grasp objects.
- Experience in sourcing, training, and developing restaurant leadership (preferred).
- Problem-solving ability and willingness to accept feedback for continuous improvement.
- Goal-setting proficiency, with the capability to create plans and convert them into action.
