Insurance Office Administrative Assistant
Location: Mentor, OH
Job Summary
Our agency is expanding, and we are searching for a detail-oriented and personable insurance office administrative assistant. Your main responsibility will be to provide support services by welcoming clients, taking phone calls, processing paperwork, scheduling appointments, and fulfilling other administrative duties. The right person for this position will be an organized professional who enjoys face-to-face contact with clients and who brings a positive, problem-solving energy to the office.
Qualifications:
- Two to four years of experience working in a customer-focused environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Drive
- Ability to work in-office, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays required on a seasonal basis.
- Combination of education/experience represented by an associate degree in a business-related field. Experience in insurance industry or human resources preferred but not required.
- Reliable transportation
Insurance Office Assistant responsibilities:
- Reports to company owner
- Updates databases regularly to make sure we have current customer information readily available.
- Direct customer contacts and emails from customers promptly and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff member
- Maintain calendars and schedules for office personnel.
- Cross-trains with other employees
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
