The Department of Corrections, Office of the Commissioner, is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 2 position located in Juneau, Alaska.
What you will be doing:
This position provides administrative and financial support to the Office of the Commissioner such as receiving and distribution of all incoming mail, preparation of outgoing mail, travel coordination, maintain correspondence tracking to ensure timely responses including the drafting of replies as requested. This position is also the records keeper for inmate death investigative files and responses. Maintains Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner calendars and meeting schedules and serve as back-up to the Commissioner's Executive Secretary as needed.

This position will work in a team environment and will interface daily with a variety of people including members of the public, field offices, other managers, directors, and the Commissioner's Office.
