is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 2.
What you will be doing:
This position is responsible for the coordination and management of administrative processes within the Medical Staff unit at the Alaska Psychiatric Institute (API). At the direction of the Medical Director/Director of Psychiatry, the incumbent adapts internal processes and procedures in accordance with The Joint Commission (TJC) and Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines as they apply to Medical Staff Standards, as well as assess and modify processes to meet the needs of the organization as approved by API Senior Management, the Medical Director, and API Governing Body. Examples of specific duties also include coordinating provider credentialing, managing provider on-call schedules, payroll, travel, recruitment, onboarding new medical staff, and management of confidential files.

This position is located at 3700 Piper Street in the U-MED district of East Anchorage which offers several maintained walking trails, parks, and nearby lakes. This area is filled with several restaurants, shopping stores, and has easy access to public transportation.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
- Experienced with computer desktop functions to produce/format documents, build databases, graphs, charts, reports, editing of documents, search online resources from desktop, word processing, and data management programs.

- Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with others.
- Ability to shift priorities as necessary for the needs of the hospital.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in high-pressure situations.
