AVIAN is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to staff with office management responsibilities to include budgeting and personnel records. The Administrative Assistant may be required to work independently on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts and other presentation materials in addition to secretarial duties (filing, taking phone calls, scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements).

Responsibilities:Provide physical plant security to include:
- Manage schedule for executive.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts for executive and outside agencies.
- Control user and visitor access to the facility using the Joint Personnel Adjudication Systems and the Joint Clearance and Access Verification System (JPAS/JCAVS)
- Provide base access via BASICS II
- Utilization of the Defense Travel System
- Familar with DISS and schecudling base visits and submitting visit requests for CIV/MIL personnel
- Receive and establish accountability for incoming classified material
- Provide the proper preparation and transmittal of classified material
- Update and maintain personnel security files
- Familiar with Infosec: 5200 series volume 1-4 DoD protection of information
- Maintain building and area access control systems
- Ensure that personnel within their purview are kept abreast of changes in policies and procedures
Required Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Three or more years of experience in office management, filing, and related office equipment operations.
Desired Experience:
- Knowledge of the NAVAIR travel system DTS (Defense Travel System).
- Knowledge of JPAS (Joint Personnel Adjudication System).
- Knowledge of CMP (Common Message Processor) system.
- Knowledge of BASICS II (Base Access Security Information Control System).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
- Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- The salary range for this role is $65,000-$85,000 (The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.)
