Adjustment Representative - Conifer Revenue Cycle Solutions

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for performing the adjustments functions within the Reimbursement and Cash Management team in the National Payments and Adjustment Center (NPAC).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Others may be assigned.

• Post Adjustments submitted by facilities, NIC’s, NMC, and the internal department according to established guidelines; includes Charity adjustments and Refund Check Registers.
• Process credit card refunds; research and respond to credit card disputes.
• Weekly review of Payment Transfers (016 and 180) to ensure proper posting; prepare 016 related month-end IJE backup and forward to facilities by the 2nd of the month.
• Locate recoups and negative holds in VI Web (Document Type EOBZ); provide to Payment Representatives for posting.
• Obtain CAP EOB’s from CMS website, calc amounts and code; provide to Payment Representatives.
• Special research projects as assigned.

• Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of Tenet systems a plus
• Good interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service attitude and ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Well organized and attentive to detail
• Good math, analytical and problem solving skills
• Data entry and 10-key by touch

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of related experience; adjustment posting a plus
