Dordt University is currently seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach three-credit, in-person courses in environmental studies.
Responsibilities:
- Teach one of the following courses:
- CORE-211: Creation Care and Environment/ ENVR-151: Intro: Environmental Studies (one course, course-listed)
- CORE-222: Energy Materials and Environment/ ENVR-152: Intro: Environmental Studies II (one course, cross-listed)
- Articulate the university's Reformational Christian perspective and mission within the context of teaching, in alignment with the curricular design set forth in The Educational Framework of Dordt University.
Qualifications:
- An earned master's degree or equivalent experience in environmental studies or a related field is required. A commitment to excellence in college-level teaching is required.
- Acknowledge Christ's lordship over all of life and express an active Christian commitment, which shall include identification with a local organized church that holds to beliefs that are consistent with the mission of the university.
- Oral and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities that enable effective collaboration with students, faculty and staff, community members, and other professionals.
