The Medicaid Actuary role is responsible for providing actuarial support for multiple states in collaboration with the market operations and finance teams.
+ Below are the specific day to day responsibilities of the Medicaid Actuary role:
+ Frequent analysis of actual experience compared to rate development funding and budget to generate insights into claims trends and funding issues
+ Development of revenue and claim budget projections in close collaboration with Financial Operations and market CFOs
+ Analysis of changes in capitation rates and risk adjustment methodology in order to communicate the financial impact and concerns to the market CFO and the market president
+ Collaborate closely with market CFOs in order to support a wide variety of actuarial analysis, including: provider contracts, IBNR, vendor ROI, program and legislative change impacts
+ Programming and modeling in SAS and Excel to incorporate state specific claims taxonomies and various other ad hoc requests

Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ FSA or ASA plus relevant advanced degree, recent and relevant work experience, and/or other relevant professional designations
+ MAAA
+ Strong communication skills
+ Experience in more than two functions (e.g., modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting & analysis, reserving or trending)
+ 8 or more years of technical experience
+ 2 or more years of project leadership experience

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$126,800 - $174,500 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
