Summary / Objetive
In keeping with our organization's goal of improving the lives of the guests we serve, the Director of Activities is responsible for the planning, development and overall operation of the Activities Department which implements and directs activity programs that meet the physical and emotional and psychosocial needs of Guests.
Essential Functions

1. Responsible for the overall operations of the facility's Activity Department which includes supervison of staff, develpment and implementation of departmental policy and procedures, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, local regulations.
2. Regulary develops new programs to meet new trends and industry standards.
3. Responsible for operating the Activities deparment within budgetary guidelines and limitations.
4. Observe and report Guest's attendance, participation, and behavior changes by documentating and charting.
5. Participates in the care planning process by attending care plan meetings, providing specific information and observations of the Guest's needs, preferences and report and behaviorial changes.
6. Meet and greet all new Guests and guests upon arrival to the facility.
7. Performs administrative tasks such as charting, care planning, reports and etc. Completes assigned MDS portions accurately and on time.
8. Assists with the recruitment and selection of Activity staff.
9. Completes annual performance reviews of all subordinate staff members as needed.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education and experience
Previous experience in an Activity Aide role.
One year expeience in a director or managerial role.
