Position: Activities Director

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and implement a comprehensive program of activities tailored to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents.
• Foster resident engagement through creative, fun, and therapeutic group and individual activities, including arts and crafts, music, games, outings, and special events.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to assess individual preferences and abilities.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and activity staff to assist in program delivery.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations regarding activities in long-term care facilities.
• Keep detailed records of resident participation and progress for reporting and quality improvement purposes.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, or related field preferred).
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Activity Director Certification (ADC) is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with seniors in a long-term care or healthcare setting is a plus.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Creative thinker with a passion for improving quality of life for seniors.
• Ability to lead a team and foster a positive, energetic work environment.
