Position Title: Activities Director
Reports To: General Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Purpose
The Activities Director designs and implements Resort activities for all guests and Owners, ensuring an enjoyable Resort stay.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsibilities listed may not apply to all locations
- Designs, schedules, and implements resort activities for all guests and Owners
- Maintains and balances operational expenses for the department
- Designs, schedules and implements special events for holidays and other occasions
- Coordinates special projects and events with off-site vendors and attractions
- Publishes and designs a weekly recreational calendar
- Purchases and maintains sports equipment and gaming library
- Provides quality control of recreational areas, including basketball courts, tennis courts, pool areas, and children’s playground
- Provides follow-up reports to management with regard to special projects and responsibilities
- Assists in planning employee-related functions within the workplace
- Supervises, trains, and mentors staff
- Provides exemplary guest service to all Owners, exchangers and resort guests
- Complies and enforces all company policies and procedures
- All other duties as requested
General Statement - Performs the job assigned, complying with Company policies and procedures, business code of ethics, FLSA regulations, and all applicable laws, as well as ensuring confidentiality, reliability, quality, and productivity.
Job Requirements
Education, Essential Training / Certifications, and Experience:
- High SchoolDiploma
- Minimum two (2) years of Guest Services experience in a hotel/resort field
- Minimum two (2) years of Recreational experience
