Salary - $32,500 - $35,000
Educational Requirements: A self-identified consumer of Mental Health Services diagnosed with a mental illness or substance abuse disorder, attend Peer support training; have an understanding of the recovery process and how to use that process to help others. Maintains Kentucky credentials, CEU requirements, updated TRIS account.
Duties/Responsibilities: To serve as the primary contact and support regarding housing issues for ACT consumers. Peer Support Specialist will provide social and emotional support, advocacy, and consumer information to ACT consumers. These activities are planned and implemented through a partnership between the participant and the treatment team members. These activities are provided to support adults to live their own lives and to direct their own recovery and wellness process. All other duties as outlined in Job Description and adherence to all Pathways policies and procedures.
Experience Required: Experience in Behavioral Health setting a plus. Must be competent with electronic medical records, Microsoft Office, and internet access. Must be able to communicate with landlords, state agencies and consumers.
