Concert Golf Partners is a boutique owner-operator of upscale private country clubs nationwide. We are seeking a highly motivated, disciplined, and organized business development professional to join our Corporate Development team.
Job Summary:
As Acquisition Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for supporting the Director of Corporate Development and the Senior Vice President of Concert Golf Partner’s (“CGP”) acquisition growth strategy. The Representative’s primary responsibilities include daily systematic outreach to prospective country club acquisition targets, prioritizing acquisition prospects, educating prospects about Concert Golf and the value proposition of selling their Club to CGP, establishing connections with key decision makers at target clubs, aggressively scheduling introductory meetings for the Director of Corporate Development, and tracking relationship management activities in Salesforce. The Representative will accomplish this through a combination of daily prospect calling, daily emails, mass marketing campaigns, and the like.
It is critical that the Representative has strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build a high degree of credibility and trust among business owners and board members of member-owned country clubs. Knowledge of golf and the country club lifestyle is an important aspect of the Representative’s knowledge. The Representative must be highly organized with an eye for detail and a systematic and organized approach to daily outreach. In addition, the Representative must be good at discovery with business owners and board members to look for the triggering events causing a prospective Club to want to engage in acquisition discussions with CGP. The Representative must be optimistic and efficient in their day-to-day work and not easily discouraged.
This key position reports to the Director of Corporate Development and Representative will work remotely from home.
Primary Functions:
- Systematic and daily outreach to prospective country club acquisition Board Members, Developers and Private owners to find new relationships for CGP.
- Finding new contacts/contact information at prospective country clubs.
- Perform enough discovery with board members and owners of country clubs to begin fostering a relationship leading to selling their Club to CGP.
- Present CGP value proposition to acquisition prospects.
- Ruthlessly update and track learned data and activity completed in Salesforce.
- Prioritize acquisition prospects in Salesforce to ensure outreach is efficient and to Clubs that fit CGP’s criteria for an acquisition.
- Ensure outreach is primarily to prioritized Clubs that fit CGP investment criteria.
- Use data tracked to continuously improve outreach efforts.
- Work closely with Director of Corporate Development to align efforts with larger company objectives.
Secondary Functions:
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials to use when prospecting acquisitions.
- Work with the Director of Corporate Development to create and implement mass email strategy to the industry to keep CGP presented in front of potential acquisition targets.
- Generate reports for senior leaders within the organization for acquisition prospecting and pipeline.
- Act in a manner that maintains CGP’s position as an “Acquirer of Choice”.
- Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Other Responsibilities:
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Attend all required team and company meetings and show ability to be a self-starter, working from home with little oversight and working 40 hours a week.
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Corporate Development.
Education and Years of Experience:
- BS in Business or related field is preferred.
- Experience and proven success cold-calling and cold email outreach.
- Experience in forward facing roles, frontline of communication.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong responsibility, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Entrepreneurial attitude - must be resourceful and self-directed.
- Eager to work with small businesses owners and successful businesspersons working on board of directors at clubs.
- Must have experience of working in a corporate/business focused environment.
- Knowledge of the golf and country club industry.
- Professionalism.
- Proficient with MS Office suite, specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Typical Physical/Mental Requirements:
Work is performed in an office setting and requires the incumbent to sit for prolonged periods of time. Requires the ability to communicate clearly in person and by telephone and frequently operate equipment such as a computer and telephone.
