Position Overview:
- ACI Lead Engineer with in-depth, hands-on expertise in administering and managing multi-site Cisco ACI environments.
- As the ACI Lead Engineer, will be responsible for the end-to-end administration, support, and optimization of our Cisco ACI infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation across multiple data center sites.
- This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure our networking infrastructure is secure, high-performing, and meets the demands of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Administer Multi-Site ACI: Lead the administration of multi-site Cisco ACI environments, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Design and Architecture: Assist in the design and architecture of ACI policies, tenant structures, and application profiles to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
- Policy and Security Management: Configure and manage ACI policies, access control lists, and security features across the network.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize ACI configurations to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Automation and Scripting: Use scripting tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve the efficiency of ACI operations.
- Documentation and Standards: Maintain documentation for ACI configurations, policies, and processes, ensuring they adhere to organizational standards and best practices.
- Mentorship and Training: Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and training to junior network engineers on Cisco ACI best practices and methodologies.
- Incident and Problem Resolution: Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues within the ACI environment, ensuring minimal downtime and quick recovery.
Required Qualifications:
- ACI Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), including multi-site configurations, spine-leaf architectures, and APIC management.
- Network Protocols: Deep understanding of networking protocols and concepts such as VLAN, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and multicast in the context of ACI.
- Policy Management: Proven experience with policy-based networking, access control, and segmentation within ACI environments.
- Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible) for automation within ACI.
- Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills, with experience in diagnosing and resolving ACI-related network issues.
- Security: Knowledge of network security best practices, with experience implementing secure configurations within ACI.
- Documentation Skills: Strong documentation skills for capturing configurations, policies, and standard operating procedures.
Preferred Experience:
- Cisco Certified Specialist in ACI or equivalent certification.
- Familiarity with hybrid network environments and integration of ACI with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Experience with DevOps or network automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Git) within a Cisco ACI environment.
- Background in working with large-scale enterprise network architectures.
