Responsibilities & Objectives
Reporting to Elemica’s VP of Financial Operations, this position will also interact with the CFO. The Accounts Receivable position focuses on collecting and reconciling customer disputes within our global customer base, controlling and preventing the continuation of outstanding past due receivables while ensuring customer satisfaction and proactive sales engagement. This individual will be expected to provide accurate reporting in Sage/Intacct, as well as handle and appropriately prioritize multiple projects.
What You’ll Do
- Provide professional and timely resolution to clients for past due/disputed invoices while maintaining a heavy focus on customer retention
- Analyze contracts to determine customized and appropriate course of action
- Ensure contractual policies and procedures are correctly followed to support receivable requirements/deadlines
- Assist in monthly state sales tax returns (training provided)
- Perform other duties as required
What You’ll Need
- 2-5 years of experience in Collections, Accounts Receivable, SaaS and/or chemical/oil/gas industry, preferred
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and internal stakeholders
- Excellent negotiation skills, ability to gain trust and confidence with clients, management, and peers
- Demonstrable ability to proactively communicate and/or escalate known issues
- Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite; can leverage Excel for data visualization
- Independent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to identify root cause issues, proactively come to the table with potential solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders; billing, sales and operations
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
