About the Job
- Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner
- Ensure accuracy of invoicing by verifying amounts, terms, and customer details
- Record and apply payments to the appropriate customer accounts in the accounting system
- Follow up on outstanding accounts and maintain a log of customer payment activities
- Initiate collection calls or emails to ensure timely payment of invoices
- Resolve any payment discrepancies by working directly with customers
- Reconcile customer accounts and promptly address any variances or discrepancies
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and escalate overdue accounts to the appropriate internal teams for resolution
- Assist in the month-end closing process by preparing AR-related journal entries and reports
- Ensure all revenue and payments are correctly recorded for financial reporting purposes
- Prepare and maintain accurate aging reports, providing analysis on outstanding balances
- Communicate with customers regarding payment inquiries, billing adjustments, and account issues
- Address and resolve any questions or concerns related to invoicing and payments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate smooth payment processes
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and accounting principles
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in a high-volume AR setting is a plus
- Typical office environment with standard working hours
- Occasional overtime may be required during month-end close or other peak periods
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
