About the Job
Temporary position that would begin immediately and go through mid January possibly longer.
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible to execute a variety of accounting-related clerical tasks related to the maintenance, processing and reconciliation of the company’s accounts receivable payments records. In addition, the position is accountable to execute related clerical activities that support overall finance and accounting operations.
- Process the Company’s accounts receivable payments. Therein, review payments for appropriate documentation, general ledger coding, and cash application.
- Respond to all cash application inquiries. Reconcile payment statements, research and correct discrepancies;
- Assist in financial month end closing activities;
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and standardized accounting practices;
- Perform related duties and support special project activities as assigned;
- Maintain a professional and proper personal appearance at all times
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of combined work experience as a general accounting clerk in a corporate headquarters environment supporting multiple branch locations and a high volume of transactional activities.
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Good problem solving skills, detail oriented, and ability to work with a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting management information system applications.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline sensitive environment.
- Ability to work standard five-day work schedule, including daily overtime, and occasional weekend hours as necessary.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
