Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and cash application. You will also play a key role in maintaining customer relationships and contributing to the company's financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and send customer invoices in a timely manner based on contract terms and agreements.
- Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts and work with customers to resolve outstanding payments.
- Apply payments to the appropriate customer accounts and ensure accuracy of cash receipts.
- Reconcile accounts receivable transactions, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, payments, and communications.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing inquiries or disputes.
- Assist in the preparation of aging reports and provide regular updates to management.
- Process credit memos, refunds, and other adjustments as necessary.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures related to accounts receivable.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and audits as needed.
- Stay informed on company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable functions and basic accounting principles.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
