Job Details
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing accounts receivable operations, including billing, collections, and account reconciliation for a regional law firm. Reports directly to the Controller.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process and post client payments, ensuring accurate and timely recording in accounting system
- Manage collections process, including client communications and follow-up on past due accounts
- Reconcile client accounts and investigate/resolve discrepancies
- Generate and analyze AR aging reports
- Process electronic payments and bank deposits
- Support month-end close activities related to AR
- Maintain organized records of all transactions and communications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field
- 2+ years of accounts receivable experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for general accounting tasks
- Experience with accounting software
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor for client interactions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior law firm or professional services experience
- Experience with legal billing software
- Working knowledge of Excel functions and reporting tools
SCHEDULE:
