Accounts Receivable Specialist

In this position, you will primarily focus on managing the Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of customer invoices, payments, and account reconciliations. You will play a critical role in monitoring outstanding balances, following up on overdue accounts, and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records and optimize cash flow.
While the typical hours are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, there is some flexibility to adjust the schedule as needed. This is a great opportunity for an Accountant looking to grow their career and make an impact in a supportive and dynamic environment.
This is an on-site, in-person role, in the WNY area.
Responsibilities:
- Process, track, and record payments efficiently while adhering to company policies.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments to maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and post bank deposits from customers and insurance companies, including scanning checks for electronic deposits.
- Coordinate month-end statements to ensure accuracy and assist with the close process.
- Respond to inquiries from customers, insurance representatives, and third-party payers, providing clear communication and resolving billing issues.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar accounting role
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
