Job Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Manager will oversee the company's accounts receivable operations, focusing on optimizing payment collections, resolving customer issues, and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations. This role will manage a team of approximately 10 employees, driving recruitment, training, and retention to build a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee payment collection strategies and department goals.
- Negotiate and approve payment arrangements for customers facing payment challenges.
- Ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing.
- Analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify trends and propose process improvements.
- Proactively manage overdue accounts to minimize bad debt.
- Create and enforce policies and procedures to streamline the collection process.
- Stay informed of applicable laws and compliance standards related to collections.
- Communicate with customers to address inquiries, disputes, and account updates.
- Lead credit-related projects or initiatives as assigned.
- Handle escalated customer situations with a focus on resolution.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; Bachelors degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit, collections, and team management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) or similar ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal proficiency.
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations calmly and professionally.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead and support a team effectively.
- Customer-focused approach to problem-solving and account management.
Salary Range: $100k - $120k
