RefrigiWear is looking for an Account Receivable Manager to join our Team!
The Accounts Receivable Manager I will support the Controller, and CFO with responsibilities for leading the credit reviewing and granting process for new and existing customers, managing collection efforts for assigned customer portfolio and reporting progress for a portion of the Company's customer portfolio as assigned by the Controller or CFO. S/he will manage a team of AR Representatives and have direct oversight over a portion of the Accounts Receivable team and processes. The Accounts Receivable Manager I will also maintain and improve cash flow through diligent and aggressive monitoring of our customer accounts as assigned. This role will direct and report on initiatives to reduce past due account balances, including account monitoring and ensuring effective and efficient processing of AR and collections functions. This position is highly visible and requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and firmly direct their portion of the accounts receivable department, while also collaborating with the AR Manager II and the entire accounts receivable team and management.
The candidate must be comfortable in an evolving, results-oriented organization. The candidate must possess a proficiency in working within an ERP system (Oracle NetSuite experience highly desired). Finally, the candidate must be comfortable working closely and cooperatively with other departments within the organization, including, but not limited to sales, customer service and IT. The position will require some travel to the company's Dahlonega, GA site where a portion of the accounts receivable collections team is located as well as residing in the permanent Alpharetta, GA location. The position will be challenging yet rewarding with great opportunity for growth.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Lead and evaluate the appropriate level of credit granted to new and existing customers based on various data points and analysis.
- Establish/maintain credit terms for new/existing customers.
- Oversee day - to - day operations of the assigned Accounts Receivable portfolio; work with AR Manager II, the Controller and CFO to create, implement, document and maintain policies, standard procedures and controls; manage and streamline billing and collection process to ensure timely customer payments and cash application functions; proactively monitor customer accounts and maintain trustful relationships to resolve billing and credit issues promptly.
- Establish collections representative key performance indicators and provide weekly and monthly reporting by representative with respect to their individual KPIs and collective department KPI results.
- Manage the preparation of Accounts Receivable month end schedules, collections reporting, and metrics used for internal reporting for the accounts within the assigned AR portfolio.
- Work with staff to prioritize work and ensure staff is adequately trained. Create standard work procedures where needed and collaborate with AR Manager II, Controller and CFO as needed to ensure standard work procedures are consistent within the entire AR department.
- Set measurable individual and team goals, monitor, and evaluate to build high performance team. This will include bi-weekly check-ins and annual performance evaluations. Provide ongoing constructive feedback and suggest corrective actions as deemed necessary.
- Assist with year - end external audit by responding to requests regarding Accounts Receivable, as needed.
- Demonstrate leadership on assigned Account Receivable projects and action items and report progress to leadership.
- Work closely with the Accounts Receivable Manager II, Controller and CFO to set and achieve the departments and organizations strategic goals.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience and 3 - 5 years of increasing level of responsibilities in a distribution/manufacturing company.
- Displays a continued path of growth and learning.
- Intermediate to Advanced in Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
Skills/Attributes:
- Oracle NetSuite experience highly desired.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
