About the Job
Summary:
To provide support to members by responding to billing inquiries, providing timely billing and maintaining the member receivable database. To act as the accounting liaison with members and the Membership Department
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· To assist Accounts Receivable in preparing all related aging and financial reports in a timely manner and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
· Assist with monthly close where necessary. This includes the completion of journal entries as well as AR activities.
· Assist Accounting Directors with receivables projects and analysis as required.
· Respond to member inquires, face to face inquiries, research discrepancies and resolve complaints within 24-48 hours
· Manage the status of accounts and balances and identify inconsistencies
· Assist with annual audits and other member accounting procedures as needed
· Processing of monthly member statements
· Processing member charges and adjustments as directed
· Process staff 128 and director accounts as needed
· Process Owner Income Reports (Vacation/Marina Rentals)
· Process payments (checks, CC's, wires, & ACH)
· Reconciliation of accounts assigned
· Month end processes for member receivables
· Other duties as assigned

Skills
• Ability to organize tasks, meet deadlines and work independently.
• Proficient in use of MS Excel, MS Word, Encompass and Visual One or similar software.
• Ability to use calculator with reasonable speed and accuracy.
• Ability to analyze reports and transfer data to other programs.
• Ability to sit in one place for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry a 20-pound box.
• Must have strong interpersonal skill and a pleasant demeanor.
· Ability to read, write and speak English and to communicate effectively.
· Willingness to assist any/all member/group related issues.
Education and/or Experience
Education: Associates Degree preferred but not required.
Experience: 5 years of general business experience preferably in hotel or club environment.
Licenses or Certificates: None.
Language Skills
Must be able to comprehend the English language in order to communicate with co-workers and fully understand job assignments.

Attendance, Appearance and Conduct:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ocean Reef Club from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, associate may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the Club and report deadlines.
Proper grooming is required by all associates and is described in detail in the Associates Handbook. Associates should review this policy and make sure that at all times they present themselves for shifts looking clean, neat and professional.
As a condition of employment, all associates agree to fully comply with Ocean Reef Club rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Club facilities. Associates who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
