Position Overview: Accounts Receivable Specialist
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely collection of outstanding invoices, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. This position is essential in managing our cash flow and contributing to the company's overall financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing and Billing: Generate, verify, and issue accurate invoices to customers based on agreed terms and services.
Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Customer Account Management: Maintain customer records and resolve any discrepancies related to invoicing, payments, and account status.
Collections: Proactively monitor and follow up on overdue accounts, engaging with customers to secure timely payments while maintaining positive relationships.
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and maintain accurate reports on accounts receivable status, aging, and payment trends for management review.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all receivable activities comply with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements, maintaining thorough documentation.
Process Improvement: Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements to streamline accounts receivable functions and increase efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role. AIA progress billing applications and contract administration a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting functions
Soft Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Clear communication skills for effective interactions with clients and team members
