Overview:Job Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk will perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks. This position will be the focal point working with the Sales Managers and Group Clients to provide a final billing to the Group on departure. You will also run accounting software programs to process business transactions, collect deposits and payments. You will follow up with Group clients questions and resolve issues leading to successful collection of amounts due the Hotel.

Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full Time
Pay Range: $21.00 - $25.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department pertaining to the billing and collections of group sales contracts.
- Type accurately, prepare, and maintain accounting documents and records.
- Prepare general ledger postings.
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
- Daily enter key data of financial transactions in the database.
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel.
- Research, track, and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven accounting experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk in the field of Hospitality.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
- Competency in MS Excel and Word, databases, and accounting software.
- 2-3 Years experience with Opera PMS and other POS applications including Micros Simphony.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks.
- Data entry and word processing skills.
