Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the accounts receivable process efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process and post customer payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Generate and send out invoices to customers.
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely collection of payments.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and communicate with customers regarding payment status.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in a professional and timely manner.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare aging reports and other financial reports related to accounts receivable.
- Work closely with the sales team to resolve customer inquiries and issues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist with month-end closing processes as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to accounts receivable.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or related accounting role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with customer relationship management and collections software is a plus.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance related to accounts receivable.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
