Our client in Laurel, MD is actively looking to hire a qualified Accounts Receivable Analyst to their growing team! With over $ 200 million in annual revenue and growing, this privately-held company is very employee centric and continuously expanding! This Accounts Receivable Analyst will join their accounting/finance team and contribute to the success of their growing organization, while being part of a fantastic, tenured team.
This position is onsite in the office 5 days/week. Our client does of course provide flexibility when/if needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- As an AR Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing the accounts receivable and collections processes for our client.
- Leverage your 2-3+ years of collections experience to monitor and maintain outstanding balances.
- Engage in effective communication with clients to ensure timely payments and resolution of billing discrepancies.
- Utilize analytical skills to assess and resolve payment issues, contributing to a healthy financial ecosystem for our client.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities.
- Research and processes customer claims of invoice payment.
- Research and processes charge backs, returns, and NSF items.
- Answers AR phone/email inquiries and follows up.
- Provide guidance to the cash applications team for proper application of customer payment(s).
Qualifications:
- BS or AA degree preferred, but open on relevant work experience
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in collections and accounts receivable.
- In-depth knowledge of collections best practices and compliance.
- Oracle NetSuite software experience highly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills for effective client communication.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
