We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Accounts Payables Supervisor to join our dynamic Multifamily Accounting team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage the entire accounts payable process for a portfolio of multifamily properties. Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Payables Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in our accounting department. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the daily operations of the accounts payable department and ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
2. Supervising the accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure high levels of productivity and performance.
3. Managing the entire 3 Way Match process, ensuring all invoices, purchase orders, and receipt of goods are accurately matched and recorded.
4. Performing monthly reconciliations of accounts payable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
5. Utilizing Resman software to manage and track all accounts payable data and transactions.
6. Reviewing and verifying entries, ensuring they are coded correctly and allocated to the right cost centers.
7. Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts payable.
8. Developing and implementing strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable process.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
3. Strong knowledge and experience with 3 Way Match, Reconcile, Entries, Ledger, and Resman.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing a team.
6. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Resman.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
8. An ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
