The Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our accounting department. The Accounts Payable Supervisor reports directly to the Accounts Payable Manager. Under the guidance of the Accounts Payable Manager, the Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and direction of the daily accounts payable functions to ensure all invoices for the Firm are processed and paid timely and accurately, ensuring compliance to the department policies and procedures; maintain vendor relationships and assist in resolving all bill discrepancies, and processing 1099s at year-end. Responsibilities also include personnel management of 6-8 Accounts Payable clerks/specialists.

Responsibilities:- Daily supervision of Accounts Payable staff.
- Direct and coordinate daily activities of the AP Department to include check requests, expense reimbursements, vendor payments/issues.
- Review invoice data entry by AP staff for accuracy and timeliness of payment.
- Provide firm wide support to secretaries, attorneys, and other departments regarding posting of client charges and payments to outside vendors.
- Print, void and reissue checks.
- Resolve technical issues with the Firm’s Accounting software regarding AP programs.
- Coordinate new employee training on department procedures and AP programs.
- Run A/P reports upon request from attorneys, secretaries and other employees within the Firm.
- Works with AP Manager on system improvements, month end close and special projects.
- Assist AP Manager with 1099 processing.
- Assist with administering the Firm’s Purchasing Card Program.
- Oversee the department in the manager’s absence.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Four or more years accounts payable experience.
- One or more years supervisory experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in a law firm environment.
- Working knowledge of Accounting systems.
- Works well in team environment.
- Ability to adapt easily to new procedures, policies and systems

Minimum Salary:USD $80,000.00/Yr.Maximum Salary:USD $90,000.00/Yr.
